Brush & Structure Fire

On January 27, 2014 at 3:20 PM High Point Fire District responded with an engine and three brush trucks to a report of a brush fire on Duncan Road near Pageland. The engine and a brush truck were the first to arrive and found a small brush fire had ignited a barn. The barn was fully engulfed in flames and endangering a motor home. Firefighters began attacking the fire with the engines deck gun while a hose line was put in place to finish the attack. Two additional brush trucks arrived on scene and extinguished the remaining brush fire. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the South Carolina Forestry Commission.
