On January 27, 2014 at 3:20 PM High Point Fire District responded with an engine and three brush trucks to a report of a brush fire on Duncan Road near Pageland. The engine and a brush truck were the first to arrive and found a small brush fire had ignited a barn. The barn was fully engulfed in flames and endangering a motor home.

January 24th, 2014 at 5:02 PM, High Point Fire District responded to a report of a possible structure fire on Price Cemetery Rd. While firefighters were in the area searching for the address, they were notified by dispatch that the original caller had called back and requested that the fire department cancel their response because the fire was out.

At 1:07 PM, January 23rd, 2014 firefighters from High Point Fire District responded to a report of a grass fire endangering a structure and vehicle at 143 Baxter Huggins Rd. near Pageland. Firefighters arrived to find fire consuming approximately an acre of grass and a large pile of pine straw.

At 7:23 PM, Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 Pageland Rescue Squad, High Point Fire District, and First Health EMS responded to a report of a vehicle crash on Highway 601 North near the state line. Responders arrived to find what appeared to be a single vehicle roll over crash with the car resting on its side.

At 3:01 PM, January 21st, 2014, High Point Fire District was dispatched to a report of a yard and woods fire endangering structures and vehicles at 26409 Highway 9 near Pageland. First arriving firefighters found a fast moving fire consuming approximately one and a half acres of yard and woods. The fire was burning next to large piles of fire wood from the residence’s wood cutting business as well as two outbuildings and two vehicles.
