Grass Fire

High Point Fire District responded to a report of a grass and brush fire on Brewer Rd. despite the inclement weather of rain and sleet. Upon arrival, Engine 11 discovered that a pile of rubbish had been intentionally set ablaze in a ditch. While the current weather conditions posed no risk of the fire spreading, firefighters utilized the deck gun on Engine 11 to extinguish the flames. This measure was taken to prevent any further 911 calls regarding the incident.
