Head On Crash

Highway 601 South

High Point Fire, Pageland Rescue, and Lifeguard EMS responded to a vehicle crash on Hwy 601 South near the county line. High Point Engine 11 arrived to find three vehicles involved in a head-on collision, resulting in one vehicle rollover. Pageland Rescue and two Lifeguard EMS units began treating 4 patients and requested Lancaster EMS to respond with an additional ambulance. Weather conditions prevented the launching of any medical flight services. Firefighters managed fluid spills and traffic diversion. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
