Structure Fire - Airport Rd.

High Point, Pageland, and Sandhill Fire Departments responded to the report of a structure fire on Airport Rd.

High Point Engine 51 and Engine 11 arrived to find a single-story wood frame home with no fire or smoke showing. Addition departments were cancelled.

Occupants state they smell smoke coming from the attic area. Firefighters noticed the smell of burning dust coming from the heat registers. Further investigation revealed that the return air filter of the heating system had become clogged which caused the heating unit to overheat. Once the filter had been removed the heating system temps returned to normal.
