Structure Fire - SC-9

While on his way to work, a volunteer with High Point Fire saw a home burning on Hwy 9 near Nicholson Jenkins Ln. The firefighter called 911 to report the fire.

High Point, Pageland, and Ruby Mt.Croghan fire departments were dispatched to the fire. Prior to the first arriving fire engine our firefighter used the homes garden hose to extinguish most of the fire.

High Point Engine 21 arrived and removed siding and insulation to complete fire extinguishment. The cause of the fire appears to be discarded smoking materials.

All other responding departments were diverted to another house fire that had just been report in the Amberly subdivision in Pageland.
