Vehicle Crash - Ejection

High Point Fire, Pageland Rescue, and Lifeguard EMS responded to a vehicle crash on Outen St. in Pageland. A SUV had veered off the road, colliding with 2 trees, resulting in major damage to the vehicle and ejection of all three occupants.
Upon arrival, Pageland Rescue 1 utilized powerful brow lights to illuminate the scene. Rescue and EMS personnel promptly attended to the occupants' life-threatening injuries. High Point Engine 51 arrived to provide additional lighting, ensure the SUV was secure, and assist in patient care and movement.
High Point Engine 11 and Engine 21 were redirected to Walmart DC to establish a landing zone for 2 medical helicopters, while another helicopter landed at Atrium Union. EMS transported two occupants to Walmart DC for airlifting to a trauma center in Charlotte, and the third occupant was taken to the helipad at Atrium Union for transfer to the flight crew bound for the trauma center.
The SC Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the crash.
