Vehicle Fire

SC-9 at JL Green Rd.

High Point Fire District responded to a vehicle fire on Hwy 9 at the intersection of JL Green Rd. Engine 51 arrived to find a pickup truck with fire showing from the cargo area. Firefighters quickly deployed a hose line from Engine 51 and successfully extinguished the fire. Engine 11 and Pageland PD assisted by taking up blocking positions to close Hwy 9, ensuring a safe working area for responders. The driver suspects that an ember from a fireworks display may have ignited chairs in the back of the truck.
