Vehicle Crash - SC-9 & US-601 S

High Point Fire responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of SC-9 and US-601 S. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that a car had pulled out in front of a tractor-trailer, resulting in a collision on the driver's side. The tractor-trailer veered off the road and collided with an embankment, blocking one lane of SC-9.
Engine 11 positioned itself to block traffic and set up traffic cones to redirect vehicles into the turning lane, ensuring a clear path around the incident. Engines 21 and 51 also established blocking positions downstream from the crash, using additional cones to create a secure zone for EMS and law enforcement activities.
Following the arrival of Burch's Towing, SC-9 was temporarily closed to allow recovery operators space to clear the tractor-trailer from the scene.
