High Point Fire volunteers responded to a brush fire on Jasper Rd. Brush 13 and Engine 31 arrived on scene to find a fully involved camper surrounded by a grass fire. While Brush 13 attacked the fire, a propane tank exploded, narrowly missing the fire truck. Engine 31 utilized two hose lines to extinguish the fire, with water supply support from Engines 21 and 51. The fire appears to have started when embers from a nearby debris fire ignited the grass.
