Grass Fire

Highway 9 at Airport Rd.

High Point Fire District responded to a grass fire reported at the intersection of Hwy 9 and Airport Rd, which was threatening a nearby home. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a wind-driven fire that was rapidly advancing towards the residence. Engine 51 deployed its deck gun, leveraging its reach to halt the head of the fire before it could reach the structure. Firefighters then advanced a hose line from Engine 51 to thoroughly extinguish the remaining flames.
